The meaning of Otaku to the Otaku Anime Club Leadership Team and their members is a passionate fan of anime, manga, comics, cartoons, video games, or K-Pop/J-Pop. U is taken from the word “university'' because the convention is being held on a college campus. Otaku U is an event for people of all ages to be able to share their passions with other like minded individuals for a day!
