- How to taste wine
- Essentials of grape growing and winemaking.
- Understand about the different types and styles of wines
- Learn how to describe eight well-known grape varieties: Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling, Pinot Grigio, Pinot Noir, Syrah, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon.
- Understand the basic principles of food and wine pairing.
- Classroom 45-minute multiple-choice exam. Course participants can enroll in the course exam usually held 2 – 3 weeks after their course. On successfully passing the exam, students receive a WSET Level 1 in Wine certificate and pin.
