To my dear nooooooordiske gjester <3 It’s my absolute pleasure to announce this year’s Nordic Week in Oslo! The highlight of the year, the best memory of your life and the most stressful one of my life :D I can´t wait!!!
The theme of the week is GDPR and personal data (I know, amaziiing right?). I can guarantee all of you that by the end of the week, you´ll all have masters-degree competence in GDPR!!!
This year’s Nordic Week will kick off on Wednesday 12.10. After greeting you all at Juristforeningens Bua, we will visit Wikborg Rein for an introduction lecture to the subject at 11. Afterwards we´ll all take the bus up to Hytte! The bus leaves from Universitetsplassen at 16:00. If you miss the bus, then public transportation works as well. Juristforeningens one and only Hoppeseter (located in Lommedalen, Bærum) will be anything other than the ordinary. However, as many previous Nordic guests in Oslo may have experienced, I feel like I must warn you about the journey from the bus to the Hytte. The hill is tuff and hard to walk if you have a heavy bag. Pack a backpack, leave the suitcase at your hosts house, and wear good shoes! As we say in Norway, there is no “bad weather” only “bad clothes” :p
At the Hytte we´ll have our traditional sittning. The theme for the sittning is “arrived at the wrong party”, which means you can dress up in basically anything you want:). Remember to pack a bathing suit and bring a towel for our little cute sauna!!!
Riiiiise and shine! On Thursday you will be woken up to the lovely Norwegian national anthem at 9.00, which obviously is “god morgen alle sammen”. After a quick breakfast, we have to start walking down the hill from the Hytte. The bus leaves at 10.00 and takes us back to Universitetsplassen. At 12.30 our first proper lecture starts at Simonsen Vogt Wiig. There will be some light drinks and snacks here, so don´t eat too much before the lecture! This also accounts for the lecture that starts at 15:00 at Wiersholm.
At 19:00 we´ll meet again at Domus Academica, for a hyggelig surprise. Ps: don´t drink too much alcohol before this! After the surprise we´ll all head out to Oktoberfest, which will be at Frokostkjelleren (right next to where we met at the first day).
Friday will be packed and stacked, so make sure you have enough energy to see it through! We´ll start the day at DLA piper for a lecture and some breakfast, at 10:00. Afterwards we´ll go straight to the next, sweet surprise that starts at 12:30. The fun is not over yet, as the weeks last surprise begins at 15:00!
After the last surprise, you´ll have some time to get ready for the Sittning that starts at 19:00! The location will be posted below<3. We´ll then bounce from the Sittning and visit one of the most fun clubs in Oslo! Ps: remember to bring an ID.
When you wake up drunk at home (or wherever) on Saturday, feel free to relax or enjoy whatever Oslo has to offer! We´ll meet again at 16:00 at Wikborg Rein for our medal ceremony, before leaving to the Hoppeball (also known as Årsfest by the Nordic guests). Dress code is your finest suit and long gowns! Unlike the Finns, however, you can have your hair done just as you like:P
Sunday will be our last day together (already crying). The tradition lives on, and we´ll meet at 12:00 for Sillis. Location will be posted as soon as I figure out where we´ll be lol.

The price for a full week is 200 euro. The weekend (Helgen, 14-16.10) is 180 euro.. Each association gets 3 spots, but feel free to ask the int.sek (me) for extra spots! If this banging, magnificent and obviously amazing week sounds tempting to you, sign up to your local int.sek! Sign-ups are due on 18.9 <3
