The Portland Youth Ensembles, Portland’s outstanding regional youth music performance program, will perform its annual Fall instrumental concert at Merrill Auditorium on Monday, November 4, 2024 at 7 p.m. Admission is by donation. Donations can be made in person or online. Suggested donation is $10 general, $5 students, seniors, USM employees and alumni, and $25 for a family.This concert will feature performances by the Portland Youth Wind Ensemble conducted by Will Kinne, the Portland Young Peoples String Consort and Portland Youth Junior Orchestra conducted by Hanna Flewelling. The concert will close with the Portland Youth Symphony Orchestra conducted by Robert Lehmann, performing excerpts from Tchaikovsky’s “Swan Lake,” Powell’s “How to Train Your Dragon,” and Richman’s “Reindeer Variations.”
