Alright Central Texas, our 3rd Annual OSDCT Vet-Fest is only 56 days away, it’s going down on Saturday, October 4th in Copperas Cove City Park from 10:00-6:00. I must point out that the event is FREE, there is only a $5 charge for parking.
BTW, when was the last time you attended an event and only paid $5 to park?
I must also point out that this event is a FUNDRAISER in support of OSDCT, the 501(c)3 non-profit organization that provides services to local homeless Veterans and others in need. The OSDCT mission statement is posted on their webpage.
So how can you support the OSDCT mission? There are several ways . . .
1. Come to the Vet-Fest and support the vendors while enjoying the live entertainment.
2. Get the old KISS cover band back together and take the stage for a performance.
3. Visit the OSDCT booth during the Vet-Fest and make a one-time donation.
4. Visit OSDCT.org and become a recurring sponsor at the value of your choosing.
5. Share this post on your personal social media pages.
6. Write your own post promoting the Vet-Fest and or OSDCT and share it on your social media pages while asking your friends to share as well.
7. Forward this post to anyone you know that sells crafts, operates a food truck, is a musician, dancer, comedian (family-friendly), recites spoken word (also family-friendly), pretty much anyone who has a show to put on or a product to sell will be welcome.
Do you envy the contestants on American Idol, The Voice, or similar shows? Well we’re not those shows, but if you’d like a microphone and some stage time, and feel ready to do your thing in front of a live audience, well I’ve got just the venue for you, Copperas Cove City Park, October 4th, during the Vet-Fest from 10:00 - 6:00.
And finally,
YES, it’s called a Vet-Fest, but EVERYONE is welcome.
YES, we’ll accept Veteran and civilian vendors, and while all prices are reasonable, Veteran prices are discounted.
YES, Veterans can enter for free, and so can civilians, the ONLY charge is for parking.
YES, VA services will be on-site, but if you are in crisis, please don’t wait, call 988, 911, visit a local emergency room, a VA hospital or a VA community health care facility.
