Elmhurst Ballet School presents: Orpheus.
Orpheus, Elmhurst Ballet School’s vibrant summer performance programme for 2026, brings to life a rich mix of contemporary and classical tales through dance. Showcasing the exceptional talent of our Lower School students, the performances will also feature a special appearance from our Year 6 Elmhurst Young Dancers.
Spanning a variety of choreography and dance styles, Orpheus has given each year group the opportunity to collaborate with both Elmhurst tutors and leading external artists. Working alongside professional creatives has allowed students to experience the artistic process first hand, developing both their technical and performance skills. Audiences can look forward to an exciting blend of Ballet, Contemporary, and Jazz, celebrating the versatility and creativity of Elmhurst students.
Contemporary dance takes centre stage with Year 11 students performing a newly created work developed in collaboration with former Motionhouse dancer and Rehearsal Director, Junior Cunningham.
Ballet highlights include The Great Race of the Zodiac, a brand-new work for Years 7, 8, and 9 choreographed by Northern Ballet dancer, George Liang, as well as Suite Mythique, an original piece created for Year 10 students by Elmhurst teacher, Alex Harrison.

Curtain up is at 7pm. Please note that doors to the main school building will not open before 6:30pm.
Parking: Parking on-site is limited. There is further parking available a short walking distance away from Elmhurst at The MAC/Cannon Hill Park.
