See the info below!)Ornella Simonetto and Juan David Vargas finished third in the Argentinian Tango World Championships in August 2024 and will now teach and perform in Tampere on November 15-17! These likeable world-class dancers and teachers teach a total of five lessons Fri-Sun and perform at the Saturday milonga. In addition, they act as judges for the open-to-all ❗Tango de Pista Championship 2024❗dance competition together with the audience and last year's winning couple.

❗COMPETITION: Tango de Pista Championship 2024❗
Respecting the tradition of championships held in Buenos Aires milongas, the audience also participates in voting for the winners: Each member of the audience chooses two of their favorite couples in the qualifying rounds and semi-finals, and three in the final. This year, the judges will also be the winning couple of the 2023 Tango De Pista - Championship, as well as guest teachers Ornella Simonetto and Juan Davis Vargas, who achieved 3rd place in the 2024 Tango World Championships in Buenos Aires.
(1.) first, (2.) second and (3) third place winners will receive great prizes from our sponsors!

Being of legal age is the only requirement for you to register, i.e. dance level or nationality does not matter. There is also no special rule about the style of the dance, the style is free, but dancing in Ronda must be respected. In both the qualifiers, semi-finals and finals, the contestants danced three different tangos from traditional Argentine tango orchestras. The competition bars will be revealed just before the start of the competition.

There is no participation fee in the competition. Contest participants do not pay the milonga entrance fee in the milongas where they compete.
