Organized by: Guadalupe River Center — helping our community heal and renew our connection to the riverChoose one of three identical sessions (please attend just one so others can participate!)
This holiday season, find joy and healing through creativity. Our own Hill Country flood-reclaimed cypress wood, with your child’s touch, immediately becomes a treasured keepsake—your own historic symbol of hope, renewal, and love for our Guadalupe River.
The ornament-making portion will be led by Hunt resident & artist Callie Stelter, who will guide children step-by-step in crafting a festive Christmas creation.
Each workshop will also include a special kid-friendly educational segment about cypress trees — their importance to the river ecosystem and their powerful symbolism of resilience and renewal.
Additionally, in a sweet story circle, our guest reader will share a heartwarming story about trees, inspiring children to see how nature, creativity, and hope are beautifully intertwined.
Children can also enjoy additional Christmas crafts, adding extra sparkle and joy to this community celebration.
Cost: FREE! (thanks to Guadalupe River Center, UGRA, and Redemption Mill)
