Mayor Buddy Dyer cordially invites you to attend the Orlando Police Department Change of Command Ceremony for newly appointed Police Chief Eric D. Smith and retirement of Police Chief Orlando Rolón on Wednesday, August 24, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. The ceremony will be held at the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts in Steinmetz Hall located at 445 South Magnolia Avenue.
Please RSVP by Friday, August 19 if you plan to attend the ceremony in person. RSVPs are not required, but are encouraged. An RSVP does not guarantee a seat.
Complimentary parking will be available in the City Commons Garage located at 460 Boone Avenue. Please arrive at the garage 20 minutes early and bring your parking ticket with you for validation.
All attendees are encouraged to arrive early to secure a seat. Doors to the Steinmetz Hall will open at 9:45 a.m.
If you cannot attend, but would like to view the ceremony online, it will be available for viewing at this link, orlando.gov/policechangeofcommand.
RSVPs are not required if you plan to stream the ceremony live online.
