The 9th annual Orlando Japanese Collectables and Sword Show. A 3 day event featuring samurai era antiques and collectables. Only one of four shows of its kind in the country. On Saturday special lectures demonstrations and exhibits will include Iaido and tameshigiri (sword arts demos) by central Florida Toyama Ryu dojos bonsai by the Orlando based Central Florida Bonsai Club Ikebana from chapter 132 of the International Ikebana Society. A special exhibit of important sword blades will be introduced by Mr Markus Sesko curator of the Metropolitan Museum of Art's arms and armor department and a lecture and display by Mr. Patrick Giacobbe on kogatana (small daggers) will be highlighted
Experts will be on hand to appraise any antiques being brought in by the public. Japanese apparel woodblock prints armor samurai video swords and sword fittings will be on display and for sale. Learn about bonsai and ikebana Join a local club or dojo. Hotel parking for the event is $5.00
