The next in-person Original Aurora Neighbors (OAN) community meeting will be on Saturday, January 10, 2026, at 10:00 AM at the Dayton Street Opportunity Center located at 1445 Dayton Street.The meeting will focus on the next steps for the Downtown Development Authority (DDA) ballot initiative that voters passed last November. With the passing of the DDA, Aurora city council members will interview candidates from the community to be part of the DDA board of directors.
To help provide clarity on how the DDA board of directors will ultimately be selected and seated OAN has invited the following city officials and community stakeholders to the January 10 community meeting:
-Reid Hettich, Original Aurora Neighbors (OAN)
-Alison Coombs, Aurora Mayor Pro-Tem
-Mike Coffman, Aurora Mayor
-Gianina Horton, Aurora City Council, Ward 1
-Jason Batchelor, Aurora City Manager
-Johnny Watson, Aurora Urban Renewal Authority
-Brad Seagal, Progressive Urban Management Associates (PUMA)
OAN is also excited to announce the following community partners as special guests for the January 10, 2026, community meeting:
