Department of Sciences and Humanities, CHRIST (Deemed to be University) is organizing a two days National Workshop on “Origami - Paper to Proof” on September 12 & 13, 2025, as an Outreach Program aimed at the betterment and upliftment of society. This initiative is part of our commitment to integrating academic excellence with social responsibility. This workshop intends to empower the Teachers by enhancing their teaching methodology with the skill of Origami to make a better understanding of experiential learning of the students community. It provides a platform for a better understanding of the mathematical concepts, to imbibe the traditional ideas through innovation, design and craft.
Through the art of paper folding, participants can explore symmetry, fractions, angles, and spatial reasoning in a hands-on and engaging way. It helps in visualizing abstract ideas, developing problem-solving skills, and making learning mathematics both interactive and enjoyable.
In presence of the renowned experts in the field of Origami, both from India and abroad, this workshop develops a strong connect among the Mathematics teachers community to nurtures the educators to educate the future leaders.
