In this class, you will learn how to make your own origami ornaments. These are lightweight and great for hanging on the christmas tree. We will go through at least 4 different designs that will give you the basic understanding of folds and how to read instructions. You will have the opportunity to experiment with other designs from books during the last 30 minutes of class and take home directions to make more.
About the instructor: Alexia Springer has been teaching origami to her friends and classmates since grade school. Part of her Christmas tradition growing up was making origami ornaments as a family out of old wrapping paper, keeping pieces year to year for the Christmas tree. Throughout the years, her family created some difficult pieces but also adopted some classic ornaments that were used most.
