About this Event
This 10th November 2024, Sunday, we will be having a fiesta!
We will have products and services that are eco-friendly & sustainable, in collaboration with Terra Academy, and a Fundraiser for a Cat Rescue Centre, whose shelter caught fire recently🥹
And! Our flagship event, The Open Mike Storytelling Session, will be also happening concurrently as well!
🍀History of Orgenika Love🍀
Orgenika Love came about in May 2019 which started as an Exclusive Home Party led by Certified Mindfulness Coach Aifa Ahmad and Human Experience Facilitator, Michelle Ow. It welcomed mothers with young children, to come and rest together, taking care of their own needs and space, and allowing themselves to let go of their identities and responsibilities of a wife and mother, and just be themselves.
The next event happened during the pandemic, in 2021, where the members of Womenpreneurs Inner Circle To Success (WICTS) & Sisters of Resolutions and Strength (SORAS) revived Orgenika Love, and this time, with a more holistic intention and concept of encompassing the different aspects of the lives of women.
We are hoping for Orgenika Love to be an annual programme. This year’s theme : Neco Fiesta.
🐈⬛🐈Neco Fiesta: How It Started🐈⬛🐈
Neco Fiesta started out as an intention for fundraising, to support a cat rescue centre, "Phatcathaus", in Johor Bahru, Malaysia, which caught fire recently. The centre belongs to one of our WICTS member’s relative, Zariah, and she felt so much compassion for the shelter, as she has a deep love for cats.
Through her sharing, WICTS and the Terra Academy community, decided to come together, bridging the purpose of Eco and Fundraising, for the cats in this event.
As we are giving our preloved items a new life, we also hope to raise funds for the centre. Supporters of cats can do their part by purchasing products that are vegan, cruelty-free, free of SLS, and other harmful chemicals by The Good.Co, which we will showcase during the event. Some of the products have been curated, packed and prepared by "Power To The Mums", another community project spearheaded by Terra Academy and Rethink Good, to support stay-home mums to find a meaningful source of income, through doing good.
We hope to be able to bring the Eco lovers and Cat lovers together in this event as we create impact as a community.
🌺Open Mike Storytelling🌺
OPEN MIKE STORYTELLING is for the Public aged 15 to 65 and the theme during this special event is ‘What Is My Story?’
This event is to create a Safe and Brave Space for the community to share their passion and what is meaningful to them through various ways of Art & Creative ways of interpretation or expression. Each person will be given between 10mins to 30mins max to share their story.
