About this Event
Create Your Own Organic Peace Silk Scarf with PIGMENT Organic Dyes
About the Workshop
Join us at Sandridge Barton for a unique and hands-on workshop with PIGMENT Organic Dyes from the Baddaford Collective. Immerse yourself in the beauty of natural dyeing as you explore the artistry of organic dyes grown with regenerative farming practices that enhance soil health, boost water resilience, and increase biodiversity. Under the expert guidance of Sophie Holt from PIGMENT Organic Dyes, you'll create your very own bundle-dyed organic peace silk scarf to take home.
What to Expect
This workshop offers a perfect blend of creativity, learning, and relaxation. Here’s what you’ll enjoy:
2:30 - 3:15 PM | Introduction & Dyeing Process
Begin with an introduction to the luxurious peace silk fiber and the selection of natural plant dyes available. Sophie will guide you through the bundle-dye process, helping you choose your favorite dyes, arrange them on your scarf, and bundle it for steaming.
3:15 - 3:45 PM | Wine Tasting & Exploration
While your bundle steams, indulge in an exclusive Sandridge Barton Wine tasting experience, complete with a curated basket of four wines (included in your ticket). Take this time to relax, browse through books, or explore additional dyes available for purchase.
3:45 - 4:00 PM | Scarf Unveiling
The moment of truth! We’ll unwrap your beautifully dyed scarf, remove the plant materials, and give it a quick rinse. Instructions for drying, ironing, and color fixing will be provided so you can complete the process at home.
