First month of '25? We celebrate firsts. One hits and #1 Hits... What does that mean, you ask? Songs selections for this theme should be:
* A True "One Hit Oneder" - the first and ONLY hit of some of our favorite artists. Some disappeared in a flash, while others built a whole career despite Billboard forgetting their talents! Think "Macarena" by Los Del Rio...
* OR you can select the VERY FIRST #1 charting hit of a more successful artist. example: while Elvis had 18 #1 Hits... his VERY FIRST was Heartbreak Hotel (1956) and would fit this theme.
* OR an original... because, we support original work, and who knows... it could be a One Hit Oneder, or the first #1 Charting hit of many!

A few rules of engagement to help the event go smoothly! (note, some tips below for new folks joining for the first time)
1. If you're coming, please respond to the event! Theme nights fill up quick, and we can only fit in so many songs, so LMK sooner than later to ensure you're on the lineup! Note, we already have ~25 songs already called! (I'll add to the Event "DISCUSSION")
2. Add your song selections in the discussion thread (or ping me direct). Pick TWO primary songs, and add a THIRD as an alternate. Depending on how many artists/songs we have, we will fit them in.
3. If you want specific musicians to join on your songs, or would like specific instrumentation / vocal support, ask them and call that out in the discussion as well.
4. If you want to MAKE a song REQUEST for another MUSICIAN, Tag them in the event thread with your suggestion and let's see what we can come up with! This is a great way to connect with other musicians and push them into a song they may not be thinking of.
As always, the sooner we know your song selections, the sooner we can put other musicians in the mix, so get them in early! Any questions, LMK.
