Organic Free Motion Quilting on Your Domestic

Use this class to build upon your freemotion expertise! Learn how to create intentional shapes and designs with your domestic sewing machine. We will be using Amanda Murphy's Organic Free-Motion Quilting book as a reference guide, to learn how to do a variety of designs: from a simple meander to a beautiful flower. We will cover "organic" shapes and designs, so don't worry about perfection! If you are interested in learning how to create a variety of designs, and gain more confidence in the meantime, then this class is for you!

Be sure that you bring your domestic machine, with quilting foot. We will be practicing 6 different free motion techniques on a half yard piece. A single half yard x WOF piece is all that you will need, as well as a piece of batting that is 18" x 22". You may purchase the half yard cut and batting to go with it at the shop. It IS recommended that you use a DARK colored half yard piece, with a light colored/contrasting thread!
Bring any quilting gloves or paddles, needles, thread, scissors, rulers, and notions that you feel you might need!
