Use this class to build upon your freemotion expertise! Learn how to create intentional shapes and designs with your domestic sewing machine. We will be using Amanda Murphy's Organic Free-Motion Quilting book as a reference guide, to learn how to do a variety of designs: from a simple meander to a beautiful flower. We will cover "organic" shapes and designs, so don't worry about perfection! If you are interested in learning how to create a variety of designs, and gain more confidence in the meantime, then this class is for you!Be sure that you bring your domestic machine, with quilting foot. We will be practicing 6 different free motion techniques on a half yard piece. A single half yard x WOF piece is all that you will need, as well as a piece of batting that is 18" x 22". You may purchase the half yard cut and batting to go with it at the shop. It IS recommended that you use a DARK colored half yard piece, with a light colored/contrasting thread!
Bring any quilting gloves or paddles, needles, thread, scissors, rulers, and notions that you feel you might need!
