About this Event
Are you a Central Oregon farmer or rancher?
Join High Desert Food & Farm Alliance and topical experts (including OSU Extension and Oregon Tilth staff) at Sungrounded Farm to learn about organic practices, what certification looks like, and resources to explore! This field day will include a tour with owner Sarahlee Lawrence and conclude with a lunchtime discussion on future programming in Central Oregon and how Organic programs may play a role in it. We will touch on topics covered in the Organic Survey HDFFA is conducting.
Lunch will be provided and a stipend will be offered for your time, energy, and participation. More information will be added closer to the event. Register to ensure your spot and your lunch! Space is limited.
This event is open to all farm owners, whether you are organic, interested in transitioning, or will never consider it. We want to learn with you.
This event is a part of the Transitioning to Organic Partnership Program through the USDA. Find more resources here: tilth.org/education/transition
There is a cap on attendance so register early. Please only register if you are actively farming in Central Oregon or plan to this upcoming year. If you attended the event in the fall, we kindly encourage you to allow others to attend. Weather can be unpredictable this time of year; come prepared with appropriate attire. We will be eating lunch in a covered, heated space.
