During this course you will familiarize yourself with your handgun. Firearms safety is emphasized as a primary topic throughout the course.

Covered Topics:

• You will become familiar with the parts and operation of a handgun.
• The fundamentals of shooting are covered; position grip breath control sight alignment trigger squeeze and follow-through which is the first step to developing consistent accuracy.
• Defensive shooting fundamentals.
• Methods of concealed carry are covered. In addition to different types of ammunition and holsters will be covered.
• Oregon & Utah laws (if applicable) and Federal gun laws covered.
• Body alarm responses/reactions resulting from a stress induced adrenaline dump.
• Use of deadly force the aftermath and dealing with police plus much.

There are no prerequisites for this course.

This course is recommended for adults who want to learn a foundation for defensive shooting of handguns & have no previous experience. However this course is also structured for the experienced shooter as well.
