We celebrate the lyrical music of Johannes Brahms this September. 2024 Leeds Piano Festival competitor Julian Trevelyan joins us first for Brahms' magnificent Second Piano Concerto. After the interval in our classical-romantic programme, we hear Hungarian folk elements loved by Brahms reinterpreted in Kodály's Minuetto Serio, before concluding with Brahms' own rousing St. Anthony Variations.
