About this Event
Join the Orchestra Book Club for an engaging discussion and performance of Scriabin's Second Symphony. Known mostly for his fiery piano music, Scriabin was also a talented symphonist, completing five symphonies and symphonic poems. His second symphony exemplifies turn-of-the-century Romanticism, with lush harmonies and dense, intricate orchestration. The Orchestra Book Club and music director Reuben Stern will walk you through this incredible work before playing it all the way through.
Though tickets for this concert are free for all, a suggested donation of $25 (or $10 for children, students, and seniors) per ticket helps us continue to present engaging and accessible programs for the Greater Boston area.
Orchestra Book Club is a 501(c)(3) registered nonprofit. To make an additional tax-deductible donation, please check out our website: www.orchestrabookclub.org/donate
