A gentle walk exploring the meadow area behind The Orchards estate. We'll be on the lookout for birds and emerging spring flowers. If the sun is shining we may get lucky and spot one of the resident lizards basking in the sunshine.
We'll follow the footpath from ACA, along the railway line and loop around the nature reserve area. This area is home to many wild flowers, insects, birds, mammals and lizards.
Meet at ACA car park, Castle Road, at 9.30am.
We'll be walking slow, so if you're running late you'll be able to catch us up by following the footpath from the bottom of the car park.
The walk will return to the car park via the same route. Please note, you can exit the walk at various points behind The Orchards estate if you do not wish to return along same route.
Accessibility: The route is entirely unsurfaced footpath (unsuitable for pushchair, wheelchair, mobility scooter etc). The pace will be gentle. The path is mainly flat but uneven in some sections.
There are no toilets on the route. The closest toilets are at Mid Kent Shopping Centre, Castle Road.
Please get in touch if you'd like more information. We'd love to hear from you.
