Join us this fall at the Sycamore Trail Community Orchard in West Sacramento to explore regenerative farming practices for urban orchards. The Center for Land-Based Learning is hosting a three-part volunteer series led by urban agroforester, Dominic Allamano. At each event, participants will learn about the key elements of a thriving orchard and take part in hands-on projects that enhance the health and resilience of the orchard ecosystem. Together, we’ll delve into the fascinating world of the soil microbiome, experiment with compost extracts made from craft composts and arborist mulch, and practice other techniques that transform dirt into living soil preparing the orchard for a fruitful future.
Sycamore Trail is in West Sacramento. Parking is recommended at Michigan Blvd and Maple St.
