Our third walk takes us to the beautiful Oranjewoud where we’ll explore a 10 km scenic walking route through forests, historic estates, cultural landmarks and where we enjoy the fresh air and warm autumn colours around us.
We will wander through De Overtuin gardens, climb the Belvedère Toren which is the oldest concrete tower in the Netherlands built in 1924! Along the way, we might spot deers or a flock of sheep with their shepherd, while enjoying birdsong, the vibrant autumn colours and the gentle rustle of leaves in the wind.
After the walk, those who wish can visit Museum Belvedère (Museumkaart is here accepted) or enjoy a cup of coffee/snack in the cosy Grand Café 1834

🏛 Museum Belvédère – discover modern Dutch art in a stunning museum surrounded by nature
🌳 Landgoed Oranjewoud & De Overtuin – stroll through historic estate and beautifully landscaped gardens
🏰 Belvedère Toren via Tjarda’s Bos – climb the 30 m observation tower built in 1924 for breathtaking views over Oranjewoud (the oldest concrete observation tower in the Netherlands)
🌿 Landgoed Oranjehoeve – wander along elegant avenues and past charming ponds
🪶 Reigerbos & Prinsewyk – enjoy peaceful forest trails and serene natural scenery
☕ Grand Café 1834 in Parkhotel Tjaarda – relax and recharge with coffee or lunch in a cozy café
Please wear sturdy walking shoes, bring water and a snack.
