About this Event
In southern Spain, there is a local type of “wine” made with the region’s famous oranges (the “Seville” orange). This is not what we’re talking about!
Orange Wine is a type of wine made with grapes, specifically, white grapes. White grapes that are made into wine in the same way as red wine- thus giving the wines headier pithier aromas, more body, mystery, and a skin-contact-derived hue that can sometimes look, well, a little orange.
Orange wine is drag. And wonderful for it.
Say what you will, but Orange Wine is here to stay. In many respects, the majority white wines over most of human history were either oxidative (like Sherry) or “Orange” (prob. both).
So, what is it? How is it made? What does it mean and, most importantly, how does it fit into your life?
In this seminar we explore the world of Orange wines, how they’re made, who’s at the forefront and explore a half-dozen wines from some of the wine-world’s most important producers of the stuff.
In this seminar, we will be diving into the differences between small-production wine and their larger corporate and/or industrial counterparts and evaluate six wines side-by-side
All attendees receive 10% off all wines at J's Bottle Shop starting with the first bottle purchased on day of event. Some restrictions apply.
