Let's come together to acknowledge the children who never came home, as well as the survivors, and recognize our continued commitment to meaningful reconciliation and a better understanding of our Treaty relationships and responsibilities. We will start in the parking lot of the Heritage Museum with a community smudge and honour songs. We will then walk down to the Peace Cairn for a prayer, singing of the Grandmother song, and an additional two honour songs.
From there, we invite you to a gathering at Diamond Jubilee Park in the Spirit of Reconciliation. There will be bannock, soup, and activities.
We hope many will join us.
