About this Event

This summer, Orange County 4-H will be offering our first in person day camps since the beginning of Covid-19. We are offering two different camps; 4-H S.T.E.M. Camp (June 28-July 2, 2021) and 4-H Healthy Kids Camp (July 12-16, 2021). Both camps are open to twenty (20) youth ages 8-12, and involve four hours of interactive, fun, hands on activities/programs led by by UF/IFAS faculty and others that are experts in the topics being taught.

During 4-H S.T.E.M. Camp, campers will have the opportunity to participate in hands-on projects to learn exciting science concepts and encourage thinking about careers in science. Topics to include space science, environmental science, food and plant science as well as electricity and coding activities. Registration deadline for S.T.E.M. Camp is June 18th, 2021.

During 4-H Healthy Kids Camp, campers will use fun and engaging activities to encourage them to choose healthy foods, be more active, spend time outdoors, youth financial education, and appreciate nature. Registration deadline for Healthy Kids Camp is July 2nd, 2021.

Each camp will cost $75. There is a discounted combination ticket option of $125 if you would like to register for both camps. Scholarships are available for families that qualify. Please contact [email protected] for more information.

This Eventbrite is to reserve/pay for your child's spot in camp. This is not your registration. Once you reserve your spot, someone from our office will reach out with registration instructions. Please email [email protected] if you have any questions.

*Per UF policy, all attendees must wear a mask and socially distance. Due to class size limitations, pre-registration is required - no-walk-ins are permitted. UF/IFAS Extension and Orange County have COVID-19 policies in place including mandatory masks (no exceptions allowed), less than 50% room capacity, physical distancing of 6 feet, no sharing of supplies and prioritizing eating outdoors when masks must be removed for which we will utilize our outdoor pavilion.
Due to the summer heat, we will be indoors much of the time, but we plan to limit our capacity to 20 campers and less than 5 adults in a room that can officially accommodate 79 adults. The campers will be provided or will self-prepare healthy snacks each day and that will be led by our Family and Consumer Sciences Agent who is certified in and teaches food safety protocols. There are hand sanitizing stations in each room and everyone’s safety will be of utmost importance.
Check-in and Check-out procedures will take place in the breeze-way outside our classroom so that parents will not need to go inside.*
