Our monthly presentation on Saturday, April 5th @ 10am in the Community Room of the 1st floor of the library (564 State St.) will be given by local historian, ecological advocate, and author Sam Love. You may know him from his Calumet Wilderness YouTube page (YouTube.com/@SamuelLove) or as editor of Belt Magazine (BeltMag.com). The man knows his stuff! And he will be previewing a workshop he is giving for free at the library during April & May regarding how to conduct oral histories. These are planned, longform interviews where one tries to capture all a person knows on a certain topic, era of their life, or community they were apart of, etc. Oral histories are something President Novak has brought up over the last year as something the Society wants to do more of -- and you may, too! It's wonderful for capturing family history before we lose those family members! Please, join us for our free monthly presentation to learn more and to pick Sam Love's brain! He's such a fun AND knowledgeable guy -- don't miss out!------------------------------
