An oral history workshop to document Redding's historically Black neighborhoods, experiences, and archival media.
Join us to share your family's story, and your memories of the Linden Ave. neighborhood and surrounding area. Digging up any old pictures and news clippings you have will help to stir up memories, and we can scan your items to preserve them in a digital format.
Location:
The Community Room in the Linden Apartments in Redding, CA.
**This location is significant because the apartments were built on the lot where the ABC Store, a small grocery store owned by Black women, once served the old neighborhood.
