Course Description:Oral Cancer 2024: Lumps, Bumps and Lesions for all Seasons -
This course deals with unusual cases, diagnostic challenges, the oral health effects of tobacco products and alcohol, premalignant and malignant lesions, presenting an oral cancer diagnosis to a patient and new diagnostic technique. Tobacco advertising will be exposed and the link between human papilloma virus and oral cancer discussed. Treatment of oral cancer and oropharyngeal cancer will be presented.

This interactive course will present a potpourri of interesting cases seen by Dr. Svirsky or emailed to him over the past few years. In addition, some wonderful cases from previous years will show up. In this course participants learn how to describe a lesion, develop a differential diagnosis and treat the condition. Dr. Svirsky will show how he approaches cases and arrives at a diagnosis.
This course will have interesting cases in which the audience will help Dr. Svirsky diagnose. However, this is the tip of the iceberg. A review of oral cancer, human papilloma virus and its association with oropharyngeal cancer, melanoma, basal cell carcinoma, syndromes, vaping and much much more.
