Welcome to Grace Chia's monthly hip-hop nights at Altar Bar. Every third Wednesday of the month come get acquainted with some of Tasmania’s best underground hip-hop artists—all for FREE!
This month:
Ukfu is a 19-year-old Burnie rapper inspired by artists like Joyner Lucas, Complete, Eminem and Lil Sick. Inspired by complex lyricism with substance and meaning, Ukfu has been rapping since he was 14 and has had a love for hip-hop from a young age.
Jaz is a 17 year-old singer and rapper. She grew up in a very musical family, singing all her life but has recently discovered her love for hip-hop. Her main goal is to help the listeners feel 'a little bit less alone and moved in the same way that music has done for me'. Jaz worked with Lachy Hamill, Callum ball and fellow MC TNUC One. She's performed in school performances and recently at Poetica Collective where she shared her original music for the first time.
