Opun Mic Night - Theme: April Fools

OPUN MIC NIGHT is a gathering of creatives to discover the fun of punning-on-demand, improv, writing, and sharing work, and meeting other like-minds in a casual, 'low-stakes' environment.

Great practice for the upcoming O’Henry Pun Off happening in May, as well as comedy sets, and performances of all kinds. 

This free community event on the first Friday at 5:30 at ColdTowne is about having fun, not (necessarily) being funny!

Our theme for April is April Fools!

We’ll be wordplaying games that will fire up your inner childhood prankster and leave with new tricks for unlocking creativity.

Optional dress code: Clown ‘couture’– face paint, wigs, harem pants ‘cause why not?

Info: Warm up facilitated group improv exercises that allow you to try out some wordplay games that may include learning names, rhyming, and puns.

Info: We'll give you an optional writing prompt to get your creativity flowin' with some lowfi tunes to set the mood. (Bring a notebook and pen or laptop!)

Info: Share what you wrote, a comedy bit, poem, or short performance.
