'OPUN MIC NIGHT' is a free gathering of creatives to wordplay, improv, write, share their work, and meet other like-minds in a casual, 'low-stakes' environment. This is about having fun, not (necessarily) being funny!

There are 3 phases to the evening:
7 - 7:30PM - Phase 1 - IMPROV
Warm Up Improv games that allow you to try out some wordplay games that may include learning names, rhyming, and puns.
7:30 - 8PM - Phase 2 - WRITE - We'll give you an optional writing prompt to get your creativity flowin' with some lowfi tunes to set the mood. (Bring a notebook and pen if you'd like!)
8PM - 9PM - Phase 3 - OPEN MIC - Share what you wrote, a comedy bit, poem, or short performance.

Our THEME for April 28th is "The 90's" since, as Justin Timberlake memes will be reminding us: "It's Gonna Be May."
Puns, outfits, and work shared on theme are always encouraged but not May-ndatory?

We'll be meeting at the ColdTowne Cabaret -- it's the door directly to the right of the theatre at 1700 E. 2nd St in East Austin.
