Opun Mic & Improv - Theme: HOLIDAYS (+ Ugly Sweater Contest)

OPUN MIC NIGHT is a gathering of curious minds to wordplay, improv, write, share creative work, and meet new people in a casual, 'low-stakes' environment.

It's is about having fun, not (necessarily) being funny!

We kick off with some warm up imrov games designed to help you remember names and be wittier with your words, have a writing prompt in the middle, and end with an optional open mic night to share your writing, stand up set, or anything you're working on.

Our THEME for December is the Holidays ... wear your Ugliest Holiday Sweater or accessory.

Ugliest / Punniest Holiday Sweater gets a prize!

Info: Warm up facilitated group improv exercises that allow you to try out some wordplay games that may include learning names, rhyming, and puns.

Info: We'll give you an optional writing prompt to get your creativity flowin' with some lowfi tunes to set the mood. (Bring a notebook and pen or laptop!)

Info: Share what you wrote, a comedy bit, poem, or short performance. We'll wrap up with a prize for the punniest / ugliest sweater!
