Join the Community Energy Association Part 2 of the two-part webinar series focused on hybrid (or dual fuel) heating systems.CEA is hosting a two-part webinar that targets HVAC contractors interested in learning more about dual fuel heating systems (or hybrid heating) including right-sizing, equipment selection, balance points, control strategies, and quality installations.
Although content will be geared towards HVAC contractors, builders, renovators, designers, energy advisors, building officials and all building professionals are welcome to join.
Topics will include:
-Right-sizing hybrid heating systems based existing, or planned retrofits and contractor utilization of CSA F280 compliant load calculations combined with field experience.
-Importance of ductwork considerations with existing homes including airflow testing to determine duct capacity for a hybrid heating system.
-Overview of balance point calculations (i.e. capacity or economic based) including the use heat pump performance curves and load calculations to determine the balance point and equipment switchover.
-Review of control options and strategies for contractors installing and configuring hybrid heating systems.
-Outline of key attributes to achieve quality installations that achieve optimized equipment performance including ducting enhancements, filtration, and proper commissioning.
This event has been pre-approved for 1 Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Point BC Housing.
