About this Event
ADVOCAP is proud to extend an invitation for our community to visit our newly-opened Opportunity Center. The Opportunity Center is an innovative, safe space for low-income people in Fond du Lac to get the individualized support they need on their path to self-sufficiency.
Since opening in mid-November, the Opportunity Center has provided tailored assistance to over 100 individuals in our city and is actively working to foster pathways out of poverty, one person at a time.
Join ADVOCAP staff, local community members, and other supporters who are committed to the health of our community and fostering long-term solutions to poverty.
Visitors are welcome to join us at any time between 4:30 and 6:00 PM to tour the Opportunity Center at their own pace.
ADVOCAP encourages visitors to please bring an item from the Opportunity Center needs list as a donation at the Open House. These items include:
- Protein bars
- Granola bars
- Breakfast drinks
- Breakfast bars
- Protein packs - any sorts
- Trail mix
- Single peanut butter pouches
- Beef jerky
- Tuna pouches
- Protein shakes
ADVOCAP is grateful for the support we've seen for the Opportunity Center. We look forward to connecting with you on January 28.
Parking details: All street and surface lot parking around ADVOCAP is metered. There is metered parking on W 1st St., S Macy Street, and in the lot across from the ADVOCAP main entrance, at 17 W 2nd St. On-street and public lots have free parking every day after 5:00 PM.
