Artists-curated recital and Conversation with Alice Chung and Helen Zhibing HuangOperaDelaware is proud to present Girls of Yellow Diamonds, a program celebrating the music and stories of Asian American women, created by Alice Chung and Helen Zhibing Huang with pianist Ting Ting Wong. Modeled after the cycle of life and the diversity of Asian American cultures, the program is divided into four sections: Songs of My Childhood, Growing Pains, Womanhood, and Future. With accessibility in mind, Girls of Yellow Diamonds creates an opportunity to experience these narratives through the music of living Asian American women composers as well as works sung in both English and Asian languages, including Chinese and Korean.
