About this Event
‘Opening up Research’ is a collaborative effort involving the Office for Open Research, the School of Engineering Open Research Lead, representatives from the United Kingdom Reproducibility Network (UKRN), and Cancer Research UK Manchester Institute.
Our aim is to promote and facilitate open research initiatives and practices within The University of Manchester. We recognise the importance of transparency, inclusivity, and collaboration in research, and we are committed to creating an environment where these principles thrive.
This year’s events programme is closely aligned with the Open Research Skills Framework, which provides essential guidance on fostering openness throughout the research lifecycle. At this event we will explore responsible research methods: promoting responsible research methods to mitigate questionable practices and ensure ethical, high-quality, and reproducible results.
