Internationally recognized award winning photographer and naturalist John Guider will showcase some of his latest work at The Warehouse on 2nd, starting April 4 in downtown Franklin, TN.
An opening reception will be held during the Franklin Art Crawl on April 4 from 6-9p.m. at the Warehouse on 2nd, 127 B 2nd Avenue N. Franklin across from The Harpeth by Hilton Hotel.
John Guider’s work has been featured in museums throughout the country as well as being included in the Art in the Embassies Program worldwide. John has traveled over 14,000 miles along the waterways of North America for the last 24 years in small hand and sail powered vessels using his talents as a professional photographer to celebrate nature, its joys and wonders from a viewpoint just a few feet above the waterline. He delights in the sense of looking up at nature and the world God created in the reverence and respect it deserves. Having just turned 76, John revels in the restorative values of being able to spend months living in the pristine beauty that only nature can provide.
John logged 28 days in October of 2024 paddling Tennessee”s famed Duck River to help raise public awareness to “One of the top three most biodiverse areas in the world!” and the devastating struggles it faces. John has teamed with PBS Nashville
and the Harpeth Conservancy to create a documentary on this important project. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of his images will go to help fund the project.
