About this Event

AFFR en Nieuwe Instituut nodigen je van harte uit voor de opening van Realitiesⁿ - Shifting Dimensions of the Built World. Met het eerste immersive mediaprogramma van AFFR onderzoekt het filmfestival hoe technologieën als AR, VR en XR de architectonische verbeelding opnieuw vorm geven. De tentoonstelling Realitiesⁿ brengt projecten in diverse media en formaten samen en laat zien hoe deze architectuur naar een nieuwe dimensie kunnen brengen, waarbij realiteit en speculatie, het menselijke en het virtuele samengaan.

Realitiesⁿ vindt plaats tussen 9 - 26 oktober in Nieuwe Instituut, de hoofdlocatie van het immersive media programma van AFFR 2025. De tentoonstelling is te bezoeken met een AFFR ticket of als reguliere bezoeker van Nieuwe Instituut. Het filmfestival zelf vindt plaats tussen 8 - 12 oktober, in LantarenVenster en Theater Rotterdam.

AFFR and Nieuwe Instituut, cordially invite you to celebrate the opening of Realitiesⁿ - Shifting Dimensions of the Built World. AFFR’s inaugural immersive media program explores how technologies like AR, VR and XR are reshaping architectural imagination. Bringing together projects in diverse media and formats, Realitiesⁿ demonstrates how they expand architecture into new dimensions, blending the real and the speculative, the embodied and the virtual.

Realitiesⁿ takes place between 9 and 26 October at Nieuwe Instituut, the main location of AFFR 2025's immersive media programme. The exhibition can be visited with an AFFR ticket or as a regular visitor to Nieuwe Instituut. The film festival itself will take place between 8 and 12 October at LantarenVenster and Theater Rotterdam.
