Rumbi Tauro
Event Photos

The day will feature live music from local R&B and Soul artist Rumbi Tauro. Rumbi is an artist who has always been about confronting the status quo. Born in Zimbabwe and raised in Doncaster, South Yorkshire, Rumbi has shifted barriers. As well as making music Rumbi advocates for progress to be made when it comes to children in education and young people being able to find their creative selves. Rumbi continues to build her catalogue of music, while ensuring the industry continues to be accessible to all individuals who wish to express themselves.

Liz Hanks

Cellist, creator and collaborator Liz Hanks will perform extracts from her album 'Land'. Her influences have been shaped by a varied career, recording and touring in the pop, rock and folk worlds and working with improvisers and Indian Classical musicians. Her debut album 'Land' explores just some of these influences whilst remaining heavily rooted in the local landscape of her area in Sheffield. 'Land' explores both the loss of nature in the urban environment and forgotten natural worlds, whilst celebrating the green spaces that remain.

Natasha Clarke
Event Photos

Over the course of the residency local Artist Natasha Clarke will be painting a mural as a visual representation of the Palace Radio interview archive. Join her for a mural painting session as she begins to transform our Palace Radio. Natasha will be adding to the mural throughout our time here bringing past and present conversations to life visually.

Natasha Clarke is a Doncaster based artist specialising in murals and large scale paintings. Natasha's murals focus on different painting techniques, which is why you'll find interesting brush strokes and textures in her work. She works closely with different community groups and venues, creating a design which is a collaboration of ideas and concepts. Natasha is also passionate about raising local artists visibility and sense of community which is why she founded Doncaster Creative Network in February 2022.

Moz Khokhar

Moz Khohkar is a ceramicist whose work draws from the fusion of South Asia and South Yorkshire within his multicultural upbringing.

Moz's approach to making is to trust the process, providing a platform to create a hugely varied body of work unconstrained by predictability. His practice ranges from functional to sculptural ceramics and embraces an extensive range of materials and techniques.

The resulting work is dictated by the natural elements of earth, fire, and water, the dramatic (and sometimes unexpected) variations allow him to produce a diverse range of work that embodies this natural process.

Join Moz to work with this ancient and natural material clay. Together you will make a series of plates for the People’s Palace of Possibility, decorated with found natural objects and fired and glazed by Moz following this drop-in session.
