Fredag den 7. februar åbner Kunsthal Aarhus udstillingen ”Files” af Aarhus Art Prize vinder, Tora Schultz. Det er første gang, at kunsthallen huser vinderen af Soloprisen, og det er derfor en helt særlig begivenhed.

I sit kunstneriske virke er Tora Schultz optaget af at rykke ved vores rutinemæssige og vante forståelse af verden omkring os. Det gør hun ved at omdanne velkendte genstande, som vi har faste forestillinger om. Hun destabiliserer disse forestillinger og åbner for nye og overraskende måder at forstå både køn, magtrelationer, rettigheder og politiske positioner 💭

Udstillingen på Kunsthal Aarhus er Schultz første store solopræsentation i Aarhus.

On Friday, February 7, Kunsthal Aarhus opens the exhibition “Files” by Aarhus Art Prize winner, Tora Schultz. This marks the first time that Kunsthal Aarhus hosts the winner of the Solo Prize, making it a truly unique event.

In her artistic practice, Tora Schultz is dedicated to challenging our habitual and familiar understanding of the world around us. She achieves this by transforming everyday objects that we associate with fixed meanings. By destabilizing these associations, Schultz opens up new and surprising ways of exploring gender, power relations, rights, and political positions 💭
The exhibition at Kunsthal Aarhus is Schultz’s first major solo presentation in Aarhus.
