Please join us as we open our December exhibitions:“Parallels” by Elaine Florimonte
On a recent trip to Lexington Virginia, Florimonte studied the local landscape. She looked and listened and sketched. That series of studies led to the finished works in Elaine Florimonte’s latest solo exhibition at Touchstone Gallery. Those sketches are exhibited alongside her finished works sharing her artistic process of observation and inquiry amid the uncertainty of the human response to the COVID pandemic.
“For Land and Water” by Rosa Vera
From the deserts of Peru to the hill towns of Italy and the marshes of the United States, Rosa Vera in her latest solo exhibition at Touchstone Gallery, focuses on how virtually everything we cherish -- natural and manmade -- is in danger due to climate change. As Rachel Carson has been reminding us since 1962, the threat is great and time is perilously short.
