𝗜𝗡𝗩𝗜𝗧𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗧𝗜𝗟 𝗨𝗗𝗦𝗧𝗜𝗟𝗟𝗜𝗡𝗚𝗦𝗔̊𝗕𝗡𝗜𝗡𝗚 🌈[English below]
Fredag den 10. januar ryger tre farvestrålende kunstflag til tops i Kunsthal Aarhus’ skulpturpark. Flagene er skabt af den japanske kunstner Ay-O, der var en central skikkelse i den eksperimenterende Fluxus-bevægelse i 1960’erne og 70’erne. Ay-O er blandt andet kendt for sin ”regnbue happening” i Eiffeltårnet tilbage i 1987, hvor et 300 meter langt regnbueflag blev installeret i toppen.

Parken omkring Kunsthal Aarhus har siden 2017 været ramme for en årlig udendørsudstilling med kunstflag – ”A Flag is a Piece of Fabric”. I 2025 har udstillingen titlen Ay-O: ”Rainbow Landscape #2025”, og den realiseres i samarbejde Tiger Tanuki, som er drevet af kunsthistoriker og kurator Malene Wagner.

On Friday 10 January, three colourful art flags will take to the top of Kunsthal Aarhus' sculpture park. The flags are created by the Japanese artist Ay-O who was a central figure in the experimental Fluxus movement of the 1960s and 70s. Ay-O is known for his ‘rainbow happening’ in the Eiffel Tower back in 1987 where a 300 metre long rainbow flag was installed at the top.

Since 2017, the park surrounding Kunsthal Aarhus has been the location for an annual outdoor exhibition of art flags - A Flag is a Piece of Fabric. In 2025, the exhibition is titled Ay-O: Rainbow Landscape #2025 and is realised in collaboration with Tiger Tanuki, run by art historian and curator Malene Wagner.
