Misa painfully battles with premenstrual syndrome, a condition rarely discussed and often stigmatized. Despite the emotional turmoil she is experiencing, she decides to make a fresh start by changing jobs and surroundings. Five years later, she finds herself at Kurita Optics, a company specializing in astronomical equipment. Here, amidst the packaging of equipment elements and sharing sweets with her colleagues, she meets Takatoshi – a young man who, like her, feels out of place among his older coworkers. Despite his quiet demeanor and his panic attacks, Misa is drawn to him, and a tender friendship blossoms into something deeper.Miyake takes a naturalistic approach, prioritizing character development over plot twists. Through his lens, he paints a realistic yet tender portrait of two souls finding solace and connection with each other. The film eschews dramatic declarations of love and tears in favor of a subtle exploration of human emotions, deepening our affection for its central characters. The two leading actors, Kamishiraishi Mone and Matsumura Hokuto, deliver captivating performances, their chemistry radiating warmth and joy throughout the film.
