The San Mateo County History Museum, at 2200 Broadway in Redwood City, will open a new exhibit, Theatrical Threads: Portraits by James Van Court, on October 21. The exhibit will feature the work of Redwood City photographer James Van Court, who during the 1880s specialized in portrait photography using costumes for his San Francisco Peninsula clientele.
Theatrical Threads will be on display through May 3, 2026.
The Museum is open every day except Monday from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.
