Remai Modern is pleased to welcome members and the public to celebrate the opening of From the Edge of the Horizon, a career-spanning exhibition of the work of internationally renowned artist Dawit L. Petros.Join us for an evening of art, music, and community. The celebration begins with an exclusive members’ preview at 6 PM, offering early access to the exhibition. At 7 PM, doors open to the public for the official launch of the exhibition.

A companion exhibition, From the Edge of the Horizon II is on view at the University of Saskatchewan’s College Art Galleries from September 5 to December 19, 2025. It features works from Petros’s The Stranger’s Notebook, a conceptual multimedia series that questions the relationship between the self and place in the context of present-day migration in Africa.
