Open Workdays are a less structured program within our teaching/ outreach plan. We practice market garden techniques on home-scale, no-till, polyculture plots, and this work can inform your own gardening practice with practical techniques, tools, and equipment. While these days mostly focus on bigger tasks around the farm, we do vary the work from week to week to allow regular participants to get a more well-rounded experience.
If you can't make our morning session, we offer an afternoon session on Thursdays, and would love to see you there!
Please bring a reusable water bottle, and a snack, in case you get peckish. Wear seasonally- appropriate clothes and sturdy shoes (leather work boots are the gold standard).
If you own pruners or a hori, you are welcome to bring them along, but we have loaner tools for you to use.
Open workdays are followed by yoga practice during our regular workshare season (Late April- November) Participants are welcome to join in, and we have clean-up/ changing facilities available.
