SAFETY CHALLENGE AT CATCH THE WAVE
Forget ordinary swim lessons – at CATCH THE WAVE, we’re making waves with our exclusive SAFETY CHALLENGE!
During our SAFETY CHALLENGES OR DURING OUR SAFETY WEEK'S AT CTW, it’s all about being prepared. We’re not just teaching swimming skills – we’re preparing our students for life-saving moments. That’s right, they’ll be swimming in their everyday clothes (or pajamas, or superhero costumes … whatever you want to wear!).
Why swim in clothes, you ask? Because when it comes to water emergencies, you’re not going to be dressed for a pool party. It’s about understanding the weight of clothes underwater, mastering movements, and being prepared for anything life throws your way.
Getting ready for the SAFETY CHALLENGE OR SURVIVAL WEEK is easy:
**Wear a swimsuit under your clothes – because safety is always in style!
**Rock your everyday attire – t-shirts, shorts, pants, you name it!
**Bring an extra plastic bag for those soggy clothes – we’re all about staying dry after the fun!
Many parents assume that children are the safest in their backyard. In reality, backyard swimming pools can be dangerous without the proper safety precautions. The good news: Most drownings can be prevented.
Drowning Facts & Statistics–Backyard swimming pools can be a lot of fun, but they can also be dangerous without safety measures in place. Here are swimming pool facts and statistics that everyone should know!
**Drowning can happen quickly and quietly anywhere there is water, especially to unsupervised children.
**23% percent of child drownings happen during a family gathering near a pool.
**For children aged 1–4, 87% percent of drowning fatalities happen in home pools or hot tubs, including pools owned by family or friends.
**A four-sided isolation fence completely separating the pool area from the house and yard reduces a child’s risk of drowning by 83%.
OUR SAFETY CHALLENGES OR SURVIVAL WEEK'S are for all swimmers, no matter what level. Parents, get your kids excited for this awesome experience! At CATCH THE WAVE SWIM CLUB, we’re turning water safety into second nature. — After Catch the Wave's SAFETY CHALLENGE OR SURVIVAL WEEK, your swimmer is armed with essential skills!
Let’s make a splash together!

BUSY SUMMER? Don't forget about our BLITZ WEEKS~
Blitz Weeks: Pick 4 classes to be used within a 1 week or 2 week time
CTW BLITZ weeks are like having a month’s worth of classes in one week — but, the bonus is that your little swimmers will benefit even more because of the successive classes.

Swimming is a lifelong skill, and one that can’t be learned overnight. If your swimmer can hit the pool more than once a week, however, swim skills can develop more quickly since less time between classes leads to faster progress. By having swim lessons every day for one week, kids are quickly building on what they learn the previous day — without having to remember what they did the previous week. It’s like learning anything new: The more you do it, the easier it becomes. That’s part of why repetition is so important in swimming!

BLITZ WEEKS, instructors use integrity, compassion and trust to teach young swimmers so you’ll be able to celebrate how quickly your child nails those new skills! If you are on the fence about signing your kids up for swim lessons, our BLITZ WEEKS are a great introduction to weekly lessons. Not only will it help to gauge what swim level your CHILD is at in order to assure best class placement, but it’s a great way to jump start the learning process to start seeing those extraordinary results WHY CATCH THE WAVE WAS VOTED #1 IN THE AREA
