About this Event
Open Studio invites children to explore hands-on projects with CMA Artists in Residence across a wide range of artistic disciplines. Each month, a resident will bring special programming geared for children while caregivers are welcome to enjoy the extraordinary setting of Pier 57 in the adjacent Family Living Room. This program is recommended for children ages 7-11.
Artist Miguel Braceli leads April Open Studio with an exploration into architectural form and structure, followed by Ingrid Romero leading workshops in pattern-making and textiles in May and Clare Kambhu teaching abstract drawing and painting in June.
Please note!
This activity takes place in the at Pier 57.
Registrations open each Friday for the following week’s classes.
Due to the intimate nature of this program, group size is limited. Please make every effort to attend the event if you reserve a ticket. If you can no longer attend the event, please cancel your ticket, which will allow another family to attend.

About Children's Museum of the Arts
Children's Museum of the Arts (CMA) unites children and artists to create and share ambitious works of art with their communities and the world. Born out of an artist’s SoHo studio in 1988, the museum has built a living collection of over 2,000 works by children from over 50 countries dating back nearly a century, while connecting young New Yorkers to art and artists. In 2021 CMA’s Executive Director Seth Cameron established The Look Make Show, the first digital commons specifically designed for child-artist-centered learning.
